So my friend Cherie invited us to the launch of a Juvenal Sanso exhibit at an art gallery and now I am faced with that age old question a woman mulls over each time she has to go to a gathering: What do I wear?
For some reason, I have associated fun dress-up dresses with French Connection. Maybe it was Rumi Neely circa 2008, I dunno. So I googled French Connection dresses and found a couple of pieces that I can visualize wearing anywhere from a small, intimate dinner to a medium sized fête to a big, crazy shindig (how retro!).
Cute for a sailing party on a yacht when worn with espadrille wedges or
St. Tropez sandals from Rondini or K. Jacques.
To a morning wedding and/or garden reception, worn with nude pumps and
accessorized with a shell or mother of pearl minaudiere.
For a party that involves dancing, drinks and a lot of fun. Not that that's my sort of thing these days, but this sequin dress just conjures up images of a girl going clubbing.
Or I dunno, I could wrong, baduy and just plain out of touch na.
Something for a night out with the girls or with your man - dinner, music, wine, that sort of evening.
Well, these still never answered my question on what I should wear to the exhibit. Fine, I will just shop my closet.
